UPDATES!!

I hate it when your camera doesn't work quite right, or you loose the cord to plug in the camera to down load the pictures, or the lap top doesn't work to be able to down load them. Well all of this modern technology I don't even know were to start to fix any of it. So i have resulted to sitting at a desk to get them up loaded and so that my camera has room for more pictures to be taken. These pictures are from the past few months.

Tulip Festival

Summer

So yesterday I was able to take the day off of work and go with Melanie and Summer to her regular doctors appointment. I had a good time visiting with Melanie and catching up and seeing what her day in and day out stuff she has to deal with, with Summer. Melanie is the perfect mother for her and Summer is such a cute baby. I was quite humbled to see everything she has to do for Summer and see what Summer has over came and has to still go through. Seeing alot of the kids at children's hospital is quite sad and happy at the same time. These kids that are coming in and out with their parents are from all ages and you don't know what is wrong for them to be there. Some of them you can guess but you don't know what they have gone through to be were they are today. Melanie is such a good mom and all of the people that she had to see that day were full of smiles when they saw Melanie walk up. Melanie has such a great spirit and up beat personality that no matter what she is there for she puts her best face forward and pushes along. I don't think that I could have been through what she has with these babies.
When i got home I ran and picked up Treavor from daycare, HaiLee was walking home from school right as we pulled up, Tj was already at home and BreAnna was on her way home from a school project that she was working on. For a few hours I was able to see what blessings I have in my life with kids that are healthy. I complain about my kids for one reason or another, not able to get through to them, or understand what is going on with them. I take for granted that they are able walk, talk, think, make decisions good or bad, go to school, eat, drink, you name it.
Melanie, thank you for letting me tag along and I so enjoyed it and like I said Summer should really be the poster child for them, she is way cuter than the ones that they have on there and thank you for being such a great mom and a great friend to me. You are a great insperation to me. Thanks again!!

CELL PHONE/ TOILET/ CHIP TOOTH

Those 3 are never a good combo. I have had service with qwest for years. well they have decided they they were not going to do cell phones any more. So we had to switch. After putting it off for as long as possible we finally switched carriers, we went with Verizon. So our trip to the mall to get new phones. I had the kids stand by the wall to stay out of the way and so i could keep an eye on them. They were horsing around and TJ hit his mouth on the Pole that was close by and chipped his front tooth. Cell phones are already costing us more. The following Saturday i was vegging on the couch until TJ had his basketball game. I was just messing with my new phone that i have had for a week. it was time to go and so i ran to the restroom before we left. Everyone was out in the car waiting for me. I go to run out and i cant find my phone.... Breanna calls my phone and says its turned off it went straight to voicemail. I was like no i just had it. The light bulb just went off in my head. I go check the toilet. Nothing is in there so i flush it to see what happens. CLOGGED. i flushed my new phone and now the toilet is clogged. After doing our run around ofter the game Tim tears apart the toilet. We basically have a whole in our bathroom. He can see the phone in the base but we cant get to it. He says we are going to have to break the toilet. I was like no let me try.... cant get it out. i finally surrender and say go ahead and break the toilet we will have to go get a new one and all of a sudden my phone comes out. YAYA, run down to the hardware store with 15 min before it closes and get the stuff to put the toilet back together. Phone is working somewhat. a little tore up and still drying out but this phone was about ready to cost us a new toilet as well as a dental bill. If one more thing happens i am going to say Verizon is BAD LUCK!!!

LIFE LONG GOALS

Sometimes being a mother has its challenges expecailly when you have such a wide span of kids ages. They all need something and are so different with what they need for their age and boy or girl. My oldest daughter and I have not been seeing eye to eye on things for a while. She is a teen and is trying her own Independence and is trying too hard not to become her mom. I am trying hard not to be a naggy mom at the same time and help her through her issues or should i just say life and growing up. She has really struggled this year in school and we have been really fighting about stuff and i am not relating to her to help her want to get her life long dream or goal in life of being a pilot. She is so smart and has wanted this for a very long time. She has been working at it for years. I finally got to talk with her one on one yesterday and it took a while but i think we finally broke ground. She is so stressed out and i just couldn't understand why. Her goal has changed, She doesn't know what she wants to do and it isn't the same as it was when she was younger and she is feeling like she has to accomplish this goal because it is all she has talked about and breathed for so many years. she is failing her own goal. It finally dawned on me last night through the tears. Its OK to change what you want out of life and what you want to become. She just needs to take what she has and the school that she is going to and make something of it that she wants. Her going to this school is only going to make it easy in life. All the tools that she needs to do what ever she wants is there and she can change her goals. It OK and her mom is right there rooting her on to what ever she wants to become. its OK, we will figure it out as long as she lets me in we can work though it and she doesn't have to think of her self as failing her goal. She is changing her goal to what ever she wants and its is OK to change as long as you do have a goal to work towards and at this point her goal is to figure out what her goal in life is going to be. I think that is why they call it the Teen years and not the Adult Years.

FIRST SLEEP OVER

The pictures didn't turn out too well but here is Treavor getting ready for his first sleep over. I was very sad that he is that old to be going on a sleep over with a friend. he packed all of his swords and toy guns, his toy cop stuff. He had a good time, he didn't even call me to say goodnight or anything. He now knows that the rule is to call mom before he goes to bed. My baby is getting older!! HOW SAD!!

SNOW DAYS!

White Christmas. I would have never thought that we would have enough snow to make a snowman as big as the house and still have that much snow left over. The kids loved it. Glad that it is over with for now any way.

ATKINS UPDATE!

TJ is now playing basketball, the video is kinda long but had to post it for the grandparents. He is having alot of fun!!

Internet - Watch out!!

Its amazing how you think that your on line info can be leaked out. BreAnna has an instant messaging account and has had it for a few years. When she is working on a project for school or what ever it is easier to work with the other kids on the project by instant messaging. She uses it pretty much every day to even just talk to friends. It is cheaper than texting. Anyway someone that she knows found her password and got into her account and posted some pretty bad stuff on it. She knew who it was so as a mother I called the person and asked to talk to their mother. After getting hung up on i finally got through to her and and of course her child would and could not have done that. I am amazed at how someone can get into something that you think is secure. I always think that it happens to other people and not in our own home.
Isn't it illegal to do that to begin with? I have been really stewing on why someone would do that and be that rude and then when confronted and lie about it. If this does happen were do you go to report it so it doesn't happen to anyone else? So trying to find all that out we finally got a call from this person apologizing. The damage is already done is that enough? They indicated that they didnt mean any harm. Is that what kids do now a days for fun? I am still bitter about it? Do i just let it be? What is the right way to deal with this? Any ideas?

WHAT THE HECK!

I haven't posed in a while because i don't have time. I am really busy at work, which is nice for a change. Just happy i still have a job:) but i have to say this. Yesterday was eventful. In the morning i drop off the kids at school and i also drop off Treavor at the school and wait for his daycare lady to pick him up there. I was talking to her and she informed me on how awful Treavor has been as daycare, Throwing toys you name it. So i tell him i will deal with it when i get home. i am shocked that he is even doing that to begin with but OK. i get a call from my daughter that she is wanting to drop a class. I call the principal to find out what is going on per her she if flunking, come to find out she isn't flunking she is getting a passing grade but long story short she is not dropping the class she just needs to study more. mind you i am at work and very busy while i am dealing with that. The kids come home and TJ got in to some trouble as school as well. So now 3 out of the 4 kids are having issues today, i still haven't heard from HaiLee. The next phone call i get is from her and i don't want to answer it. So i do and ask how her day was and she says great. :) so that isn't so bad 3 out of 4 are not having good days. As i am leaving work i am thinking on how come today everyone is off. So what comes next but a FAMILY MEETING! As i get the kids to bed and have MY TIME, i think, how kids are so different. They all ate the same stuff during the day, they got the same amount of sleep nothing changed between them and how every single one had issues that were totally different. Somtimes being a parent is hard.:)
