GRANPARENTS CAME TO VISIT

Treavor was tired so he went to grandma and sat on her lap and said to her "I am tired and i am gonng to fall asleep" I guess there is no place like grandma's lap to fall alsleep on. While he fell asleep i think grandpa needed a nap too and since grandmas lap was full he settled for the other couch. As you can see it must of been in the air because even the kitty was asleep on the back of the couch!!!

Grandma and Grandpa brought the kids thier backpacks for the new school year. They also got them new school clothes and their school supplies! THANKS SO MUCH!!! it sure did relieved alot of stress of getting 3 kids to school.

Tim and his dad have birthdays just days apart and so we celebrated them togather. I didnt use all the candles because there would be a house fire if we did for sure. So they both got a candle. Love that Party Light!!!

FOILED AGAIN!!

On my way home from visitng with friends i went to my sisters house to foil my nephews room. He is away at some camp and i have left my mark to make sure that he knows that he is loved and i was thinking of him while he was gone. LOVE YOU TYLER!!!

FRIENDS

I had a great time visiting with my old co-workers, I would not call them co-workers they are great friends of mine. We have seen each other through kids, husbands, and life in general. Di is my good friend who is fighting colon cancer. She looks so good and her boys are adorable. She is going to fight this desease. She is such a great mom and a wonderful person. I am so glad that we got to visit with her and her boys. Malia was there with her daughter and son. I used to see Malia everyday because our kids went to the same daycare. I sure do miss seeing her and her adorable daughter and handsome son. It is amazing that 3 women working and becoming friends have that many kids. The kids had a great time playing and having lunch and just relaxing while watching them all play togather.

Birthday for TIM

Tims birthday cake, There are so many candles on there that we thought it would start a fire. We got him an ice cream cake and it was about melted by the time we sang and he blew out the candles. This year his birthday was 8-8-08. The day they started the olympics. Happy 35th Birthday!!!

Gunther - our new family member

This is our new family member. He showed up at my work. He was very hungry and so of course i had to take him home. Gave the kids a week to show that they could take care of him. He is such a cute kitty. We had him for about 3 weeks and then we finally named him, This is Gunther. We already have a cat named Chandler so why not Gunther. The manager at the coffee shop on Friends :) very good kitty and alot of fun.

BreAnna's Winning Project

Here is BreAnna and some school buddys. During the school year they had a project that they worked on for an assignment. They had to present their projects about the enviroment in front of the prinicpal, the CEO of the airport and Eric Lindbergh ( Charles Lindbergh's grandson). They were going to choose one group that they thought was the best and BreAnna's group won. They were presented an award and a plaque with their names on it. Also during the summer they made their presentation to about 15 people who run the Sea Tac Airport. They also got to go to the look out tower, bagage tour and go to the 3rd runway. She had a great time.

Here is treavor in his cowboy stuff. He got alot of this stuff for his birthday. But i think the rubber boots are what makes the outfit. There is nothing better than a little boy with shorts on and his rubber boots.

HaiLee brought a friend to go camping with us. here is Hailee, her friend Courtney, Treavor, and Randi they are taking a break from the freezing river. I think Treavor thinks hit boots are going to help him not get wet.

This is were the older kids, BreAnna, Amy and Tyler decided to take the raft down the river. If you notice they dont have life jackets on and we werent sure were they were going. After a little while my sister decided to go find them and they were all fighting and wading in the cat tails swamp. They were all muddy and she didnt bring the camera but she was laughing all the way back to camp. After being chewed out for not having a life jackets on we were all glad that they were back safely, muddy but safely.

SUMMER

This summer has been very uneventful, One of the reasons is gas prices. I had a family reunion in Califormia but with the gas prices we ended up going camping for the weekend. It was so nice, one of my friends has a cabin (crab shack) that she was so nice and let us camp on her property. It was a river right on the property that was so beautiful and relaxing. My sister and i took our kids and just had a great sister time weekend. It was nice to spend some quality time with her and her kids. One thing i really enjoyed was on the last day i stepped out of my tent and twisted my foot. I could not step down on it at all, i have never had a broken bone so i didnt know what it felt like. After going to the doctors like 3 times they tell me that i just sprained it. It was not getting any better so went to an orthopedic person and they said that i did break it in 3 places and fractured it in one spot. good news was that i didnt have to break down camp!!!

realizations

I have had a few friends of mine have some major life struggles and i am so greatful for what i have and my kids that that make living worth it. One of my friends is in the hospital with colon cancer, she has 2 twin boys that are about 2 years old. My sister just got laid off from work from a mortgage company, go figure, Melanie is at the hosptial with her new twin babies, Another friend of mine has some major stuggles with her family, it all makes you realize that what you dont take it for granted, I am lucky that i have a job, healthy kids, and my health is great. I just wish that i could do more for each and everyone of them.

stuff

i just love to read what everyone puts on their blog. I dont do mine like i should becuase of time issues. Things have changed drimatically at the Atkins house hold. Were to start, BreAnna, 16 driving now and working. Dont see much of her these days but she finished strong at Aviation High and is going to be working all summer to get a car. Man i miss having her around all the time, you dont know how much they have grown and how much you depend on them until they are gone, even if it is a hug or just to whine about something as a mother you depend on that and it just isnt there from her any way like it used to be.

HaiLee too has finished school strong, She has been spending her summer visiting cousins or hanging out with big sister or just watching movies and of course riding her bike and bugging her friend Yvonne. She has been a HUGE help around the house since Sissy is working and doing teenager stuff. She is now my little side kick and is a great big sister to Treavor and a great friend to her old mom. I get my fill of hugs and kisses from her all the time. She fills the void that BreAnna has left me i think.

Treavor is at daycare during the day and loves Thursday to come becuase it is Slurpy Day! He is so the youngest but is doing really good and is a good little buddy to HaiLee and his old mom that is.

TJ is still at grandma's will be there for another couple of weeks.

SPRING BREAK

Spring Break brought the kids in all directions. First TJ left on Monday to spend the night at a hes friends AJ's house. He seemed to have a good time and got very little sleep. BreAnna was busy taking Drivers ED, and filling out applications for a job. She heard today that she got her job that she wanted. Bakers, it is a shoe place, fancy shoes at that. HaiLee was able to go to her good friend Yvonne Hamiltons house and learn how to quilt. then she went to Dalaney's house and played and then went to her best friend Courtney's house and spent the night. Treavor was at daycare all week and Vickie took the kids on long walks everyday. Treavor was so tired when he got home from all the walking that he went to bed early and with no problems like normal. Tim and I got to go to work. :) So with the kids going in all directions it brings us to Saturday and we are all home and just relaxing. Went to the first parade of the year, Love this time of year. Amy my niece was in the parade palying her flute with her school. We are all burnt from the first day of sun and just relaxing.

kids start school next week and we will be back to our normal schedules.

Last week HaiLee was in the school play, Who Pushed Humpty, she was part of the choir. She sang until her heart was content. Very good job HaiLee.

Today BreAnna took another adventure to the sky's. She was able to fly to puyallup and land and then flew to Port Orchard and landed as well and then back to the sky to land at the Crest Air in Kent.

Next week is spring break so lets see what the week brings to us :)
