HaiLee fell in the mud so she is a little muddy but here she is with grandpa. The boots got thrown away after this trip. They were too small and really worn so it was a good final trip for the good old boots.

Treavors Birthday

Treavors Birthday was a lot of fun. He wanted to have a party with friends so we went to a U fish place in Orting. Bills Fishing Hole I believe was the name and it was a huge success. Every kid got to bring home at least 2 trout that they caught. He also got a tshirt for the birthday boy.

Treavor is such a great kid. He has brought me so many laughs. Here are the 10 things that make Treavor, Treavor

1. He Loves to cuddle his mom

2. He improved so much in school

3. He loves to read, and to be read too

4. He gets up super early and does his chores, gets dressed

5. He Makes me laugh on a daily basis

Yvonne and HaiLee, Yvonne is such a great friend to HaiLee and is so supportive of all she does, We are very blessed to have Yvonne in our lives.

HaiLee and TJ on 5th grade graduation day, TJ is on a lower step that is why he looks so much shorter.

This is their cake, it had the whole 5th grade class on it, way cool!! couldnt figure out how to put it the other way :)

So now that I am done with such an emotional day of having my kids promoted to 6th grade it makes me feel so happy that they are so well rounded as kids. They did a video of the 5th grade and it was so fun to see all the pictures looking back at how much they have grown. TJ has really became an excellent student. He got great grades and has many friends and loves his sports. Is so nice to have teachers come up to me and tell me how much they like my kids. It means alot to me that they go out of their way to tell me this. HaiLee got a citizenship award and it is for being a well behaved student. She was never in trouble all 6 years she has attended elementary school. So proud of her as well that she is so well behaved and that she got great grades as well. She has many great friends and loves school. Treavor also did really well this year and again every adult, teacher and staff know Treavor because he is always there to help out when needed. He holds the doors open for the ladies ( that what he calls them). Alot of them tell me that they wish they could take my kids home. Dont get me wrong i do know they do have their quarks but this is a bragging post and so that is what it is. I am so proud of them and so grateful that they are mine!!!

OK now that i have updated my blog with photos. I am going to update as well. I did not get into the online college that I was hoping too. I guess you need some sort of college before you can get into this one and I don't have that. I worked since I was 16 so college was never an option for me and I had done very well in the mortgage industry with out any college. now that I am unemployed I am trying to figure out what I want to do. I have been researching colleges and what the ratios of what I want to do and get a a job and right now in today's market it is not looking so good. I thought that I had wanted to go to school to be a teacher but looking into stuff there are more unemployed teachers. If I do go to college for that I will still have a student loan and not a job. So I have decided to take the summer off and spend time with my kids and finish my kitchen up and some other little project and take time to figure things out. I will just start taking classes in September when the kids go back to school and not stress to much about what I have to become.

This is Caliber, He is my grand puppy. BreAnna and Penn got a puppy and when they came to visit i was on puppy sitting. I had a good time with him, he was only like 4 months old and kept me on my toes but when he would come lay on me and sleep it made it all worth it. I know it is just a puppy but knowing that its my daughters and that she loves him like a child makes it so different than "just a puppy". He was alot of fun!!!

with me being home I have made a little time in the front yard for flowers. I have not been one to plant flowers but this year i got some for mothers day and have been having fun seeing them grow. It is alot of fun sing that them bloom.

So here is what we have been up to these days. My Father in law is building me cabinets for my kitchen. They are so beautiful. We are moving the sink back to the window were we believe it was when the house was originally built. It is suck a mess right now but looking at the cabinets in the garage were they are being built makes me know that i can hack the havoc and am so excited to have them done. With the help of my mother in law we picked out the paint and the counter tops and it is all coming together. I can not thank my in laws enough for all their help and work that they are doing for me.

A New Year

So I am a year older. What a way to start my new year. I was sitting watching some TV right before Tim went to work on Friday and I got an email from a school that I was trying to get into that I was not accepted. Reason being is that I have not attended college before. It was an on-line college and they want you to have at lease some college experience or your AA. So now I sit there alone because Tim has to go to work and the kids are still at school and I don't know what to do now or were to begin. Were does one start when they are older, how do I begin? What does all this lingo mean when I am looking up things online? I am so confused and don't know were to begin. How am I able to take assessment test when I cant even help my kids with math? Now I am another year older and need to start some were but just don't know how.
I did have a wonderful birthday though. My Brother in law had a party for his 50th birthday so we had a party for him on my birthday. As we were getting ready in the morning my in laws come over and brought me homemade cupcakes. As a family we celebrated it today. The kids decorated the house with signs, Tim made a great dinner for me and HaiLee made a cake that even she could enjoy with me.
One thing I do know is that at the end of the day, I have a wonderful family. They love me know matter if I have a job, if i am going to college, if i am making a difference in the world they love me for me and that is the best present that i could ever ask for.

Being unemployed has made me have alot of time on my hands to think about what I really want to do. I see people and they ask how is it going and I don't know exactly how to answer them. I have met friends for lunch, Went with Melanie to to take her daughter to horse therapy, visited with some friends, and been able to pick the kids up from school every now and then. Treavor was able to stay home today from school because he wasn't feeling well. Spend time with Tim with out kids around. Gone grocery shopping after dropping the kids off to school, volunteered to help Treavors Teacher help cut some projects for her. I have always said that I bow down to stay home mothers, there is no way I would be able to do that. It is a tough job and I don't like my kids enough to stay at home with them. :) Now I am there and it is hard and even harder than I thought it would be but at the same time I love it. The kids do like that I am at home (I think) they are able to have dinner before we rush off to baseball practice for all 3 of them. That is a huge change. Normally I rush home from work and we rush getting dinner done and out the door and don't have time to even talk about their day. There are alot of projects that I have wanted to get done for many years but didn't have the time. One my one I am getting them done. I am not rushing to get them done. I am taking my time to get them done and enjoying it when I do, do them. One more thing that I am working on is going to school to be a teacher. I am in a position for the first time in my life that I have options and get to take things slowly to make sure I am able to do something that I can retire at. Thanks to my father in law too we are redoing our kitchen. New cabinets, flooring and a paint job. I will be posting pictures as the construction begins. As I spend more time figuring things out I will take this time to really reflect on what it is I want to do when I grow up.

MAJOR CATCH UP!

Hailee was in the school play again and she had the part as the mom. She did really good and she had a lot of fun. The play was called Whip Out and they had a surf competition to save the mommy and pappy surf shack. In the end they saved their shack and all was good.

For the past few years for HaiLees birthday her Aunt Gina has taken her to go ride horses. HaiLee has a great time. Thanks Aunt Gina!!

So this year when we went to the tulip festival Tim talked me into letting the kids take a helicopter ride, I have a video of them taking off and landing but not sure how to get them on here :) soon i hope. i was a nervous wreck but the kids had a blast.

Treavors first baseball game. The other kids have not had a game yet so stay tuned for more pictures of my athletes. I love going to the games and watch them have fun.

Treavor and his best friend Jaden went to an Easter egg hunt. TJ stayed home because he wasn't feeling to well but it was crazy and fun at the same time.

Ran into Albertsons to get stuff and an Easter Bunny showed up, so it was a Kodak moment :)

HOW IS BEING UNEMPLOYED FEEL?

I have had a job since I was 16, i have never not had a job because being a single mother i couldn't afford not to work. Being in the mortgage industry this day and age has been a struggle to stay employed. Seattle Mortgage has been a great place to work for the past 10 years and have seen many changes though the years with in the same company. My kids only know of me working at Seattle Mortgage. I feel really blessed to have survived this long with them. With that said me taking some time off to figure out what i want to do when i grow up has been hard. I have a supportive family and husband that letting me stay home has been fairly easy. I have found that i have nothing but time on my hands. Usually when i get home from work it is RUSH, RUSH, RUSH, between making dinner, getting kids to sports activities and such i was always felt rushed. I forget that i have time so when i go and cook dinner i rush though it when i can actually take my time and enjoy cooking again. I have projects that i will be working on shortly and know that i don't have to rush because i have all week to get them done. One thing that i am noticing is that i am forgetting things like crazy. I feel like i don't use my brain enough i guess. I am getting used to the idea of being home.

This year has been alot of ups and downs. Right now things are changing and with me being somewhat of a control freak this is way out of my hands. Work is moving me to our corporate office which means several changes that comes with it. First of all I have a new boss, 2nd I will have a commute in a different direction and I have to pay a portion of my parking. They are making my job centralized so no more branch processors. I have been with my company for over 11 years and one thing that has stayed the same has been my current boss. He is not the one that hired me in the beginning. I have worked with him for the past 11 years but he became my boss for the past 6 or so years. (i have lost track of years i am sure). He has seen me through all the ups and downs of my life. From being a single mom of 2 to getting married and having a baby and seeing my oldest graduate high school, to moving out, Kindergarten for my kids, surgeries that i have had or my husband. Not only am i loosing my boss but also a big part of my life that has been there through thick and thin for me. My future is unknown right now with this company and that scares me. My younger kids have only known me for working at Seattle Mortgage. This is going to be a huge adjustment for them as well. My hours will be changing so i wont be able to drop them off at school. I have dropped kids off at school for the past 13 years. I have never seen any of my kids not off to school and not drop them off on the school grounds. I know i live walking distance from it but it gives me something to look forward to in the morning as saying good bye to them and telling them to have a good day. I don't know how my new boss will feel if i have a sick kid at home or them calling me when they get home from school and i talk to them on the phone. I have so many unanswered emotions about this that it scares me to the core. I just hope that these changes are for the good and that my kids adjust to these changes as well.

SEEMS LIKE TREAVORS LIFE!

Treavor has a wrotten tooth that broke so he had to get it removed. He was such a champ! This would be his first tooth to loose but no tooth fairy for him becuase it was wrotten. As the dentist was taking it out it kept on breaking. He did a great job but one thing he learned is when mom says to go brush your teeth you better do it.

Treavors boyscout troop got to go to the hockey game and boy did he get spoiled. It was the first time that Tim got to go with just Treavor to a game and they had fun. They got to go on a tour before they opened the door to the public.

On Presidents day I took the kids to my brothers and sister in laws house in Orting. They have the best rivers and a fun place to go for a walk or bike ride. Treavor was in Montana for the week visitng his sister. Here are my nephews and buddy the dog. They rode their bikes and Gina and I walked the dogs. Great weather and a great day off!

Sad Year so far!

As a family we have been through our fair share of deaths and this year has already been marked by 3. You would think it gets easier but this one has hit me hard. First of all Treavors Kindergarten teacher passed away in January. Not only was she his teacher but her husband has been TJ's basketball coach for the past few years. She had been fighting cancer and it won. The second was an old friend of ours that we went to high school with. His son was 14 years old and got ran over by a truck. He passed away beginning of February. We lost touch with him and we didn't know his child but recently got in touch with him through facebook. To loose a child i could not imagine the pain. We didn't go to his funeral for the fact that it as a child and i really couldn't have handled it. Last but not least a very good friend of mine since high school, her and i did everything together because we were single moms raising 2 girls. She had been looking for love for a very long time and found it and was married for little over 2 years. Her husband came down with some heart issues and fought a long battle of this and didn't make it. It really puts in to perspective what we have and what can be taken from us in the blink of an eye. I get mad at my kids for not doing what they are supposed to. For them not doing their chores or simple things like brushing their teeth. This has really made me appreciate them more and to love my husband for the support he gives me. Yes he drives me crazy at times but doesn't every husband. I am appreciative that my husband does this and i have him when times are tough he is there for me and the kids.
With these deaths i know that they are not suffering and they are looking down on their families and cheering them on the whole way through this time on earth.
Love your children, love your husbands and wife's, and cherish the the little stuff you just don't know how fast it can be gone and change lives forever.

First hike of the year!!!

Tim planned for us to go on a hike for the day. We were going to start off with an easy hike but in my book it was way to hard for our first one. We went up to Little Mt. Si, It was defiantly pretty and worth it in the long run because of the view but getting there was hard. There were places that were straight up and rockery. When i was about ready to give up Tim was there cheering me on telling me i could do it. I did do it because of him but man i am sore today. Heck i was sore getting to the truck off the mountain. But i am glad that he pushed me to keep going. The kids had a good time as well. There was a little crying, whining, are we there yet, i need water, i am hungry but all in all i think they enjoyed it. I will know more when the pain in my feet, back and legs goes down.

5th Grade Camp!!!

I was able to take time off work and be with my kids at 5th grade camp. It was so tiering but so worth it. I was HaiLees Chaperon so i got to attend all of her classes and still be able to see TJ and be part of his adventure as well.

This is HaiLee finding stuff in the underground so they could look through the microscope to see what is in it. She found some sort of eggs, moss, dirt and also spider eggs. It was so cool!!!

They learned how to canoe. I didn't get any pictures of HaiLee in the boat becuase i was able to go out there with her!!! Yep i canoed with her.

This is all the girls that were in the cabin. All in all they were good but man oh man keeping up with them is very tiering.

TJ fell off of the bench, this would be me at the right place at the right time. it was like a domino affect.

They learned how to clean and recycle water. It was really cool a 4 billion set up so that all of the water they use at the camp is all recycled there. What an experience to learn and be hands on with it all.

of course part of camp is helping with the chow hall there were 2 schools there that met at the same time for dinning. It was so well organized and the kids had to account for all of the food that they waisted. They recycled and composed what they could and what was waisted was called ORT, so they weighed every meal how much was waist so the kids could see how much food went to waist. the highest we got up to was 13lbs.

again catching TJ getting ready for his turn at the canoeing. Right time at the right place to get this picture. I skipped a class because i wanted to get pictures of TJ on the water. He was so scared and nervous but once he got in there and did it he said he liked it.

Last but not least this would be me sleeping about 1/2 hour after i got home. The cat missed me. Treavor took this picture of me. I was able to sleep for about an hour and then the kids had a basketball game that night.
I am so glad that i could spend this time with my kids and be able to see them try and do new things. I am so grateful for my friend Vickie that took over and took Treavor to all of his activities so I could go along with them.

UPDATE!

Basketball is in full swing now. I have only been able to get good pictures of Treavor because the other kids are too fast, i need to break out a different camera for the others, so stay tuned. Treavors first year at basketball and he is doing great. I think it has a lot to do with TJ playing with him through the years. Treavor is having so much fun and even though my weeks are all basketball it is so fun to see the kids have fun.

For boy scouts Treavor visited a fire station in Kent. I learned a lot and Treavor loved it. He asked so many questions that the fire fighter gave him a penny that he cut in half with one of the fancy scissors they have in the first aid kits. While we were there they got a call so they boys got to see a little bit of them in action. They saw were they slept, ate, worked out, watched tv. Treavor loved it!!!

A few years ago i went with my sister to see eagles. So i really wanted to go on a road trip so we went ventured out with my nephews and sister in law to go find eagles. Well it was flooding season i guess because all we saw were about 3 eagles, lots of rivers over flowing and 2 bunnies. This church was on the side of the road so we stopped. It was so small but cute at the same time. The kids had fun and it got us out of the house for a few hours.

Heather Chalmers, Her and I were best friends in school and once i got pregnant we went our separate ways. I just found out the other day that she has passed away about 3 years ago. So sad, words don't even express how sadden i am for a life that was cut short.

MR. SWENSON!!

When i was in high school i was in the band, and we all know that when you are in the band you are known as a band nerd. I played the clarinet and loved it. I first started in Forks in elementary school and then when we moved to Seattle i joined there. My mom made me continue band and i was so nervous and knew i was going to be so bored. Boy am i glad that i did. My Freshman year in school my teacher was Mr. Swenson and you have those teachers that stick out and is a part of your life for ever. That would be Mr. Swenson, he planned so many trips for us to take as a group and we became great friends though the years. Our first year Mr. Swenson wanted us to go to California for a parade and sort so we had a rock a thon. (you rock in a rocking chair for 24 hours) we brought our rocking chairs to the school and in very close corters we watched movies, played games, threw balls around for a full 24 hours with breaks for a very small time. It was good fun! we did this every year while he was our teacher. we went to Vancouver, he composed his own music for us to play.
Yesterday as a group and spurr of the moment and thanks to facebook some of us we got together at the old pizza place that we would go to as a group after a band function. Even Mr. Swenson was able to join us and it was like the past 20 years didn't happen. We just finished were we left off at. I am so grateful to have a teacher that can impact my life in so many ways, with trips that i would have never gotten to take, friends that have been there for me through thick and thin, a teacher that taught me how to play an instrument better, and stories that i can tell my kids about.

Here is to an end of a year and on to a new one!!

This year has had its adventures like any other year but through it all we as a family have survived. As I reflect on what has happened this year I am happy and sad at the same time. Things that have happened!!

1. All of my kids have turned a year older
2. I have turned a year older
3. Tim has had 4 surgeries, 2 shoulder and both wrists
4. BreAnna graduated High School
5. I still have a job in the mortgage industry
6. Tim still has a job at Boeing
7. All of my kids are doing great in school with good grades
8. BreAnna moved out not only out of the house but out of state
9. We got a new dog Katie
10. Rekindled with good old friends

That is just the first top 10 that I can think of. Now for 2011 what do i want to accomplish this year? I don't know what 2011 will have in store for me personally or as a family and i am not one to make new years resolutions because its too much pressure. I am going to enjoy my year with my kids, husband and love that i have a job. I am going to be the best person i can be to everyone i come in contact with.

Here is the cookies so far. I have never done this before but a friend of mine helped make the batter and HaiLee and I baked them. Now i am afraid to give them away, we had fun doing them.

BAHUMBUG!!!

As of today I have not had the time to do anything for Christmas. This year has been so different that i just cant seem to be in the spirit. The traditions that i normally do i haven't. The stuff that i want to do are not getting done. I don't know what is wrong with me. I think that it could me many things to blame it on. The first is that BreAnna is not here to be part of them and it is with her that i started them 19 years ago. The other kids have not been behaving at all. Plus they are in basketball so that takes up 3 of my nights. I know they are all excuses and i need to kick my self in the butt to get them done. Were do i start at this late in the game? What do the kid really deserve as far as Christmas goes? I normally sponsor a family and candy cane their house and this year i didn't even do that. Again a tradition that didn't get fulfilled and a family that i could have made the difference on didn't get done. This week i am slammed everyday as well so getting the tree up in the near future is out of the question. How do i get my self out of this funk???

This was a Lama that was in the parade. TJ didn't want to be touch the Lama but he was a good sport and stood there for a picture. All of my kids didn't bring warm jackets so Treavor and TJ had a blanket and Hailee has my jacket on. UGH the things we do for our kids :)

Kent had a Christmas tree lighting celebration so i took the kids and it had status of the Chipmunks. They were so cute, then they had a parade with Santa. We went with my sister in law and my nephews. It was a lot of fun and Treavor loved to see Santa this year. It was very cold but worth the time to spend with the nephews and see Santa for the first time this year.

The wind is in our faces, we are on the ferry boat!!

Tim had a guys day so HaiLee and i got to have a girl day! first of all we got our toes done. and then i surprised her and and went to Vashon Island for lunch. It was her first Ferry ride and it was so good to spend some one on one time with the only girl left in the house :) we will have to do it again that is for sure!!

TJ finally turns 11!!! I am a little late in Blogging but TJ just couldnt decide on what he wanted to do so we finaly went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner and had a cake for him. I gues with getting older theme parites and party hats are just not the in thing to do!!! Happy Birthday!!!

Snow Days 2010

Here are the kids playing in the snow. TJ doesn't like to lay down and make snow angels so he opt out of it. But the day it snowed I was at work and left Tacoma at about 3:20 I don't drive in the snow at all and my anxiety kicks in when i just think about having too. There was a break in the weather in Tacoma so i started to head home. BIG MISTAKE!! on I5 and the snow started coming down hard. I was so scared i cried about 5 times just attempting to get home. With living on a hill no matter what direction i decided to go i had a hill that i had to go up. Finally getting to my neck of the woods and attempting to go up the first hill i had to turn back around and put the chains on the van. once i did that it was a matter of what hill i was going to attempt, traffic was a a grinding halt basically so going up a hill that was closed and saying many prayers as i attempted to get up the hill and home and many tears later i walked in at 8:53 pm. I was never so happy to be at home in my life. with that i didn't go into work for 2 days and then it was Thanksgiving so i got an extended weekend weather i wanted it or not.

No pictures to go with this post! HaiLee has had a bully since 1st grade, I have done everything to help her through it because we all have had one at one point or another. I still know my bully not to mention any names but Kristen Herron. I have went to HaiLees bully's house a couple of times to talk to her grandparents whom she lives with and told HaiLee to kill her with kindness, you name it. Last year her bully went to another school but ended up being on the same basketball team as her. HaiLee was afraid and didn't like to go to practice or the games. I even saw if first hand this time on the physical abuse and emotional abuse that HaiLee had to go through. This year her Bully is back in her school and so she is living with it every day again. With all of the media attention i am finally putting a stop to being bullied. HaiLee didn't want to sign up for basketball this year again for being afraid her bully would be on her team again. i told her you would rather be on her team that apposing teams but still not want to do any activities and such because of it is sad. So notified her school and had a document in her file about it so that no matter what school she goes to it will be in there and there is a history of her being a bully. If your kids are being bullied speak up for them. I didn't and tried to go around it so that HaiLee could approach it differently and knowing deep down it would continue and once i took care of it through the school HaiLee has came to me and said she feel like a weight has been lifted of her shoulder that she doest have to deal with a bully on a daily basis. I wish i would have put a stop to it sooner. Please speak to your children if they are being bullied or the bully. No one wins in the situation!!! Be Kind to one another!!!

Cub Scouts Hike

Here is my handsome Cub Scout. Treavor had a hike with his toop and they had to find stuff in the wilderness. Ok it was a paved trail and maintained but he brought his walking stick non the less. HaiLee and TJ came along for the adventure. It was a great day for a walk and then after wards his troop played red light green light by walking as you can see from the pictures below Treavor doesn't know how to follow directions or walk for that matter. :) He had a great time and so did the other kids. We love our Scout!!!

Treavor all ready for his date with Vickie, - she is his day care provider and since her husband has passed way over a year ago Treavor wanted to take her out to dinner since she didnt have any one to take her. My little man is such a gentleman. They had a good time and Vickie was the perfect date for him. Even though she has changed his diapers before. We love Vickie!!!!

We went to the Roloff Farms in Oregon for an extended weekend, we had alot of fun, I suprised the kids with the trip, had them packed and ready to go in the morning, no electronics or anything. Took a trip to see BreAnna and Penn in their house in Montana, this is not thier house it was a mansion that we went and visited and toured. It was a lot of fun and seeing BreAnna in her new digs and content was great to see. But man I sure do miss her.

Wow what a summer i have had. I seen my oldest move out and spread her wings in Montana. Tim has had 2 surgeries on his hands, Treavor learned how to ride a bike, Tj has grown like a weed and has learned how to swim with his head under water, and Hailee didnt break any bones but has grown so much into a women. We adopted Katie as the family dog. It has been a roller coaster ride for me this summer and so sad to see it go and part of me is glad it is over.
We are taking a trip to see BreAnna over labor day weekend and just dieing of anticipation to see her. I am so proud of my kids and thankful for them in so many ways. I will post pictures of everything once my computer gets back from the doctor!!!

BreAnna is such a great daughter. She and Penn have left to go to Montana, What an emotional roller coaster for me. I have had over 18 years of raising such a wonderful person and know that she is going to do well no matter what she puts her mind too. I never imagined that this day would come and it has. I don't know if i was ready for this chapter in her life and mine. I guess with every step she takes in her life it is a step in my life of letting her go and spread her own wings. I cant wait to see what she becomes and does. I always thought that when kids moved out it meant that the parents were old.... i don't feel any different but just a little void in my heart were she was once kissing me goodnight every night, or walking through the hall way and pinching her or hugging her. Waking her up in the morning by singing and her groaning at me. Or telling her to do her chore and pick up her shoes. She is loved by many and so thankful i can call her my daughter!!! I love you BreAnna and very proud of you for everything that you are and have accomplished!!!!

BreAnna left yesterday and is in Montana to figure out were she is going to be living, working and starting the new chapter in her life. I am so proud of her and at the same time so ready for her to start it. It is so different with only having 3 kids at home. Her official date of moving is August 11th. Cant wait to go visit her!!!

we took the kids to the Air show on base this weekend. It was great for Tim to show his kids what he used to do. I still don't think they have a total grasp of it all because i know i sure don't, but when they did an reenactment of what they do i was filled with emotion. There was a black cloud of smoke, another big helicopter thing dropped supplies and then another one dropped out people. It was very over whelming for me to see. I don't know what our soldiers do every day or what they go through when they are on the line fighting for me to take my family to an air show, or to be able to work and everything that goes with me being an American. I am so grateful for them and for my family and friends who have been in the military fighting for me.

The planes were HUGE and it is so hard to believe that they are in the air, its amazes me that they do. I am greatful that Tim was able to talk and explain to the kids what the planes did and for his time in the service. Thanks again!!!

Treavor was sitting on the couch last night and out of no were say I miss Dave, we were Budd's, Back in June of 09 his Daycares husband passed away of Alzheimer's, he was so young. Treavor had been at this daycare for about 5 years before he passed away so pretty much his whole life. Today Treavor turned 6!!! He is such a good boy and i am
so proud of him!!! all he wanted for dinner is baked beans,
fruit, and hot dogs, and of course an ice cream cake. I love

Today was Treavors Kindergartens graduation, the teacher has such nice to things to say about him. She said that he was friends to everyone and always made kids feel better. When they were down he would try to make them feel better. His teacher is having some medical issues and could only work 3 days a week so he had 2 teachers this year. The one that has medical issues said that when she was down Treavor always comforted her and made her feel better.

Had to drop BreAnna off at her school and the graduates were taking a bus to the event, i had to drop her off and i am really trying not to cry, seeing all of the kids there all dressed up and ready for their next stage in life. TJ was one of the top 13 students from his school
to have the fastest 1 mile race. So they got to race
each other, He was with a few 5th graders too. Tj
has always been a fast runner and he did very well
during this race, He came in 5th. I am so very proud

June is always a busy month for us. We have Treavors Birthday, Our Anniversary, Last day of School for the kids which means finals, field trips and any last minute activities, baseball season coming to an end which means award ceremonies, and that is just our immediate family, out side of our house we have birthdays and what ever is going with all sides of the family. This June is exceptionally busy and sad, Treavor graduates from Kindergarten and BreAnna is graduating from School and moving on with what ever life hands her. I have one child just beginning the adventures of school 2 that are right in the middle of it and one that is moving on. We have all said it, but were has the time gone. As I look at pictures that am getting ready for her first 18 years it brings back the memories of were has the time gone. I new that this time would be here but i am not ready for it. I am not ready for her to move on. I have lived longer with her than I have with out her. I am not ready for there to be only 3 kids in the house. I am not ready for her to not hug me and tell me she is going to bed. Or her to be in her room and call me to talk to me about something. I am not ready to not see her every day. I am so not ready for it all. On the other hand I am excited for her to move on and expand her wings and give life a shot but most part of me just isn't ready.

BreAnna's Senior Prom pictues. If you all know BreAnna she bought her shoes and then found the dress to go with them. I had alot of fun going with her to get her hair done and even her make up. A friend of mine knew someone that did hair so she took BreAnna there to get her hair done and then to the mall to get her makeup done. I HATE the mall but decided to go to be with my daughter and of course the whole mall gets evacuated becuase of a fire or something. Thank goodness for my friend Stacey beucase she knows her way around the mall and got us out of there with no problems at all. Thanks Stacey, They didnt get to finish her makeup all the way but when she got home she was able to put the finishing touches on. Her Grandma went shopping with her on Friday and they got the hair piece and the earings that matched perfectly. She looked beautiful as always. Penn her boyfriend / date looked great too. They seemed to have a great time.
I stand in amazement that she is that old and so beautiful. Love you BreAnna!!!

Treavors Kindergarten music concert: He is growing so much and i didn't have my camera, the battery was dead so i took photos off of my phone and my daughters phone. Here is he playing the tambourine and the other photos are of the girls that attached him. He had quite the possey of girls hanging on him. He comes home all the time very frustrated because the girls chase him and all he wants to do is play. Well i got to see it first hand. Every time he turned around a girl was trying to hug him and he was trying to get away. He was so polite to them and was very proud the he didn't want to hurt their feelings but man those girls would not leave him alone. very funny,
Treavor was very nervous about his concert because he was afraid he couldn't remember the song but he nailed it, he did a great job and was very proud, now how to figure out how to get the girls off his back :)

My nephew Tyler was in the top 20 for students at his high school. Tyler has been accepted into the honors program at the University of Washington. He has grown up so much and I am very proud of him. One thing that i love about Tyler not only is he my nephew but he will do anything for you. He used to come to my house all the time and play with my kids. Tyler and BreAnna are only a few months apart and practically grew up together like brother and sister. They still fight like brother and sister today. On Friday evening I picked up Katie, She is a really
good dog. I have missed having a good dog around. I
got her from a friend of mine that i have lost contact
with for the past 10 plus years and through facebook
we were found. I love getting anminal from them
because they know how to train them and make them
be such good animals. I am so lucky to know Helen
and so glad that she has came back into my life.

Katie has brought such joy to our family in just a
small amount of time. We had a really good weekend
with her and am very excited to get to know her more

True Family Time!

Spending time as a family are memories that will last a life time. Tim's grandmother passed away last week so Tim's brother came out from Spokane with his family, We had a get together at Tim's parents house on Sunday with everything that is going on everyone life's and what is about to be faced the next day we all had a good time. The kids played together, there were a couple of accidents but as a family we worked though it. Tj got hit in the face with a bat from his brother and as everyone was rushing out the door to find out what was going on he was surrounded by people love him and care about him. Treavor cried for hurting his brother because he loves him and didn't mean to make him cry. TJ is doing fine now :) HaiLee was playing with an uncle we think, not so sure but she ran into the screen door and busted the screen right out of it. After making sure that she was OK she was surrounded by family to make sure she was OK. Even Uncle Jeremy took the heat for that one just in case she might have gotten into trouble. Grandpa just shook his head and said it is fine, i have the stuff to fix it.
We played hard that day and laughed so hard that by the time we were ready to head home the kids were tired they fell asleep on the way home. Monday was the funeral and we were able to get together after it for a nice dinner with all of Tim's brothers, aunts, cousins, spouses and soon to be spouses. I love being part of a family that knows how to be a family and be there to make you laugh even during difficult times. I love the fact that i can have my kids go there and know that they are loved and going to be taken care of even if i am not there. That they can be kids and not have to worry if they break something or touch something that it is all tangible stuff and it can be replaced that the kids are more important than a screen door. That family time is more precious than anything in the world no matter how we became the family that everyone is welcomed and loved for who they are.

CRAZY BUSY LIFE

Today i am feeling a little over whelmed and this is my blog so i can vent on it all i want. The kids have baseball 3 of them, Hailee, TJ and Treavor. Tj and Treavor have boyscout, finally found a troop that does so much with them and keeps them busy during the meetings, I love their new pack, troop or what ever you call it, My back has been out and i have physical therapy 2 times a week. I work and have a commute to Tacoma every week day. Am i complaining YES i want my back, back to normal it is making me cranky and very emotional. My side of the family doesn't get along with each other and there are some family functions coming up and very stressed out to go to them. Reality hit me that my oldest is graduating in just a few short months from now. She will be living her own life and i wont be able to see her every day. There just isn't enough time of the day for me to be able to sit down and soak it all in pain free. Thank goodness Tim is able to help with everything and we work well together in coordinating what needs to happen that evening. But right now all i want to do is lay down and cry! I sure hope Tims schoulder is water proof because it is going be soaked.

The Yard Work Begins

I have the best kids, My back has been out for a
couple of weeks and i have been very anxious to
get out there and mow the yard. I thought it
would be too much for the kids and i was wrong.
I brought it out just to see what they could do and
if i could just do it. TJ did a great job and did it.
HaiLee cut some weeds and nailed some loose
boards on the fence and so did Treavor. The came
through for me and didn't complain and did a
wonderful job!!!

The cat was working too, we just don't know what
his agenda was exactly!

HaiLees 10th Birthday

cousins and Sunday she got to go ride a horse.

So the last few years we have what we call Candy Cane a house. Its like TPing a house with candy canes and dropping off presents for a family. We are all set to do that and when i was taking a friend of HaiLees home in conversation she was not doing Christmas this year because they could not afford a tree. I sent posting to my facebook and have had remarkable response from family and friends. With their help we are able to sponsor 2 families this year. I cant help but feel so thankful for my many blessings that i have from my family and friends. I know we have been in the same situation as this family and was blessed by Santa to be able to have gifts for my kids and a tree from a friend. To this day we use the same tree, it is what we call the Turnblom Tree and everyday when i turn on the lights it lights up our house and i am so thankful for it. I have recently moved offices and not knowing the people in my new office they have offered to donate stuff and provide a tree for the family. I am thankful for everyone!!!

BreAnna turns 18!!

Every year around this time things gets so busy that i forget to take time for my self and ponder what i am so thankful for. BreAnna turned 18 on the 14th of December. Were has the time gone with her, it was like yesterday she was born. I know we all say that but really i will be missing her childhood days. Its so wierd to know that she is considered an adult but in my eyes she will always be my baby. I can really tell that our relationship has grown so much and i have to watch my self to treat her more like an adult and not a child. i know that my days are numbered with her as well as far as living with me. She is finding her way and am so excited for her to do what ever makes her happy and become. Thank you BreAnna for being my daughter and my friend, I love you!!!!

Will This Day Ever End!!!

It has been a long time since I have had a day that I should not have gotten out of bed. Or I have and just didn't realize it. So on Tuesday my day starts with getting kids ready for school, making their lunches, piling in the van so i can drop them off at the school. I drop them off a little early before the buses come so of course i am in the bus line up but normally i am out of there right as they are coming so i don't get screamed at. So the kids pile out and we say our good byes and the VAN DOES NOT GO!! i should have known by this to just go home and go back to bed but of course i don't. My kids push my van out of the bus lane so i don't get screamed at by the school. I call BreAnna frantic to come help me, and then i call Tim. Tim tells me how to get it into gear and i take the van home. The transmission has been going out and i have been ignoring it because i know it is going to be expensive. I get the van home and park it and have BreAnna drive me to work. Now i start making calls on how much it is going to take to get the van fixed. Don't ask is all i can say. BreAnna picks me up and I take the van to the shop. It doesn't work half the time so i coast most of the way and get it to the shop just in time for them to close. I get home and something has happened to my computer, i cant retrieve nothing, Pictures gone! everything on it i cant get anything to come up so i call comcast because i think it has to do with macafee or something, i am on hold for EVER, i am making dinner, potatoes are bowling, meatloaf in the oven all set. I sit back down to the computer and Treavor tells me that he opened the gate outside. I tell him don't worry i will shut it latter, i am still on hold and still trying to figure out my computer. I get the Internet to come up but that is about it. about 1/2 hour or so goes by and i then tell Treavor to let the dog out. He does and of course i haven't shut the gate. HE GETS LOOSE ( i don't have a dog i have a horse) so i tell Breanna go get the dog i am on hold with COMCAST STILL. so she is running around trying to get the dog from the neighborhood. She comes back with his leash and his collar, no dog. I am still on hold and go outside to call the dog, he runs up to me and and of course takes off again in the wrong direction. Comcast finally picks up, and i start to tell her what is wrong with my computer and the kids are hollering that the dog is going crazy, Ok so i tell comcast i have to go because i have to go get the dog. I get into BreAnna's truck drive down call the dog, he gets in to the truck and i leash him up and go home. As i am walking through the house it is in golfed with smoke. HaiLee had dropped some grease on the stove and didn't get cleaned up very well i am assuming because the potato's are on fire. I yell at BreAnna to turn off the stove and get the fire out because i am trying to get the dog in the back yard, (gate now closed). I text Tim because he is at Football with TJ that dog is back home but now i have a fire!! Got the fire out and headed back to the phone to be on hold for ever with Comcast. After being on hold for EVER again and being told that they cant help me to call this number, that number which no one can speak English or help me. So i go to bed and call it a day!!! Thank goodness for my neighbor for lending me their car for a few days. With BreAnna's school schedule and work schedule and everything we are defiantly a 3 car family. Now if i can get help with my computer that would be great!! Any takers on that. :)

Tim's Parents bought the pack packs again this year for the kids

and an outfit. Treavors is wearing his and Uncle Bryan bought the

shoes for them. I am so thankful for them to help us out.

Getting 4 kids to school makes one broke! Thanks Bill and Vickie and

HaiLee stayed the night at her cousins house for one last
harrah for the summer. Amy did her makeup and hair.
I just love her hair. HaiLee is turning into such a

Taco's and Licorice

So last night i was making Taco's for dinner. TJ was at football practice and HaiLee was watching some TV and BreAnna was at work. Treavor comes up and asks if he can put a licorice in his Taco. I said why not so i cut it up in to little pieces and put it in his taco to eat. At the time i was thinking a couple of things. He is defiantly the youngest and last child, and why not is it going to hurt him? of course not. So he came to conclusion that Red Licorice in a taco is not very good, When the other kids got home to eat they saw that Treavor had licorice in his taco they said how come we cant have any? i said you never asked. i know i need to let my kids spread their wings a little bit more than i let them and try something out and make their own opinion on it.

So HaiLee has seen my blog and for the past couple of times she comes out crying about it because there are embarrassing photos of her on it i guess. I don't think they are but she seems to think that they are so i told her i am not going to be putting any more pictures of her on my blog. What do you think?

FAMILY THOUGHTS!!!

With all of the family photos it makes me crazy and sad at the same time. I know that i have family that follow my blog and they are going to be upset or what ever but i don't care anymore. I don't have a relationship with my immediate family like i would like and it makes me really sad to know that things are being said about me that are not true or about my kids. If talking about about someone makes you feel better about yourself than so be it. We could have a huge family gathering but ego's, pride and everything gets in the way. I would just love to be able to go to a family function and not feel like i was scrutinised for everything that i have done or did. I know that people are missing out on my kids and it makes me sad to know that its OK with them. And i am sad that my kids cant get to know them. I had a great childhood. I have always loved it and have talked about it with my kids and going to the farm and visiting family has made me sad to know that i have kept away because of them. My kids have even missed out through these years about what makes me me. When i was at the farm my kids saw kid pictures of me and they thought it was funny because they have never seen any pictures of me as a kid, just stories. Every person has had a time in their child hood that they remember weather it was good or bad and just because i have brought them up in passing while raising my kids and why i am doing things different doesn't mean that my whole child hood was bad. We learn from what we didn't like as a child and change it with raising our kids, and as my kids grow up and have kids they will do the same thing. I would hope that they change things because they didn't like the way i did something. I know that i have raised my kids the best possible way that i know how to and want to. I also know that i will never loose communication with them because as they have kids, i want to be part of their life for who they are and who they will become along with my grand kids. I cant wait for the day to come when i can stop raising kids and watch my kids raise theirs the way they want from learning from what i have done good or bad. That is what life is about and i cant wait to be apart of it.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES!!!!!

HaiLee is taking swimming lessons so next year she can join the
swim team. She is my water baby. You name it Ocean, River,
Lake, or Pool, she loves the water and anything she can find
in it. I am so proud of her!!!!!!!!

We went with my sister in law and my nephews to watch the blue

angels take off. It was so hot that day. The kids had a good time

though. Some older boys let them play football, and they got to

visit the ice cream man. Good time by all.

This picture is special for many reasons. This is my grandma, My

mom's mom and with her are only 4 of her grand kids and the rest are

only some of her Great Grand kids. We went to my cousins kids birthday

party in Port Angeles.

This is my grandmother and my Uncle Jason. He is so cool, When i

was a kid i thought he was so cool because he listened to the pop music

and was just a cool uncle. My kids love his house because they have a

creek in the back yard and they look for frogs and always gets drenched

with him is his mother my grandma. And i still think he is the coolest

uncle around. Love ya!!!!

Camping on the Farm

I was able to take the kids to Forks over the weekend and it is 20 degrees cooler there. We camped out on my grandmothers farm with my brothers family. It brought back so many memories of when i was a kid and i was very happy to share them with my kids. My grandmother is 91 years old and has had 2 strokes i believe, she has lost all of her right side of her body's movement. When we showed up late on Friday night i went in to the house and kept the kids outside because i was not sure what to expect. I haven't been to the farm in about 5 years or longer. (that's a whole another story). I went up to her not knowing if she would remember me and she did. She was in her hospital bed and she looked at me and said that she was glad i came and happy to see me. I hugged her and said that i have the kids outside can i bring them in. So i let my kids know what to expect and to be quiet and don't jump around. They walked in and grandma had the biggest smile on her face and gave every one multiple kisses. She remembered Hailee and BreAnna and TJ but has never seen Treavor.

The kids got to play with the goats, a baby calf, see a peacock nesting an egg, See the field get hayed, see baby chicks, ducks, llamas, a cow jump the fence to get back in. bunnies, you name it. They were every were on the farm. BreAnna got to go shooting with her Uncle. We woke up to roosters and a cow bell on a goat. (not sure what that was for?) It was a very sweet time for me to be able to relax knowing that the kids were doing what i used to do as a kid.

As we were packing up and saying our goodbyes to grandma we got some pictures taken with her and as all the 8 great-grand kids lined up to give her hugs and kisses she started to cry. It was a tender moment for me to know that i was remembered and loved and my kids will have this lasting memory of what it was like for their mom to be a kid. As i was giving her a hug and kiss goodbye she really started to cry and i was by this time as well. She told me that she was happy that i came out and that i am a special granddaughter with a great family. I think i have been needing to hear that my whole life. Someone in my family loves and accepts me for who i am and my kids.

TJ's Cub Scout Day Camp

I had the opportunity to go with TJ every day and be a walking parent for his Cub Scout day camp. I am sure that I had made other parents upset because i was there every day but i was told that i had to be there every day in order for him to go so i was able to take a week off work so i could go with him. I had so much fun seeing him do new things and interact with strangers and then become good friends with them by the end of the week.

I have realized that being with 15 kids all week that i have really good kids and TJ has really good bunch of kids in his cub scout troop. I have also realized how lucky i am to have TJ as a son. We dont get the oppertunity to bond and have one on one every day when there are 3 other kids. One thing that i also am greatful for is the respect that they have with adults and did what was asked or asked not to do something.

There was a boy in another troop that made it really hard for me at times. He had no respect for adults and delibertly didnt stop doing stuff that he was asked not to do. When i talked to the people that ran the camp they infomred me that he takes meds and that it was not his fault. Since when has meds made someone have respect for adults or made them be nice to other kids. I was shocked that everyone made it sound like it was his meds. I know about meds and what they do and dont do and i know for sure that a kids still needs to be accountable for their actions and what they do. Meds can help slow down the brain, but they still have choices to make. I was also told that they were not aware that TJ has ADHD... Um hello accountable for thier actions and following through on what happens with thier actions. And being taught that Adults are athority figures that are to be respected.

All in all though i had a great time with TJ and again i have to say that i am proud that he is my son.
